Bridge Milling

The programming of the machine, through the integrated CAM interface, is completely interactive.
The user can select directly the machining, among the available typical shapes, and insert parameters with the assisted procedures.
It is possible to use specific third-party CAD-CAM, that can be installed on board or on an external station. In this case the programs, written in ISO standard, can be easily downloaded on the machine, thanks to several communication interfaces.
The application inserts the necessary compensations to optimise the program performance. This can be checked directly on the machine through the Graphical Simulation function. The integrated CAM interface can be installed also on a PC so that a double environment for programming and for simulation is obtained.

Manual cuts

They can be executed in an entirely assisted process through the touch-screen interface or with the aid of manipulators also on machines that are equipped with orientating table and tilting disc or with tilting and rotating disc.

Slab Cutting

It can be programmed directly and easily thanks to compensation algorithms, assisted parameter set-up, selection of cutting technology in function of the material (marble or granite).

The SLAB CUTTING CYCLES include:

  • single cut, also oblique (with orientating disk) or tilted (with leaning disk) and multiple cutting (also tilted);
  • cut of tiles with table or head rotation;
  • cutting of polygons, circumferences or arcs of a circumference with table rotation or head orientating (also for angles lower than 360°). This machining can be done in several phases in order to consent the roughing and the finishing.

 

Pedoca cuts

The PEDOCA CUTS allow to make optimised cuts with the rotation of cutting head or of table. It provides all supports for importing .dxf drawings, for converting them in a work project and for adapting them to the real piece to work.

Slab Smoothing

With this kind of machining is possible to smooth out a slab in order to remove any defects left from previous working or in order to reduce it to the wanted thickness.

Profiling

The profiling allows to work solids following standard profiles and free profiles, which generated with CAD.

There are included the following profiles:

  • semicircle profile:
    concave/convex complete, concave/convex first half and second half;
  • angle profile:
    concave/convex complete, concave/convex first half and second half.

The FREE PROFILES can be generated directly with the internal CAD or imported from an external CAD as DXF file.

 

Shaping

It allows to work with /realize standard shapes and free shapes generated with CAD.

The following shapes are included:

  • cylindrical shape: concave/convex;
  • angle shape: concave/convex complete, concave/convex first half and second half;
  • taper shape: concave/convex.

The FREE SHAPES can be generated directly with the internal CAD or imported from an external CAD as DXF file.

 

Shoulder working

It allows to remove crests that are left from previous working of profiling and shaping.

Profiling and Shaping

It is possible to mix profiling and shaping works in order to produce more complex shapes.

The profiling and shaping are made easy by some utilities.

  • The selected geometric parameters are independent from possible modifications of the disc radius. The machine automatically compensates the radius of the used disc: so the same profile can be executed with two different discs without modification of geometric parameters.
  • The cutting of profiles and shapes is dependent from the type of material to work. The material can be marble or granite.

Simulation

The milling of a piece usually keeps the machine busy for long time. For this reason the Graphical Simulation consents to verify in advance generic errors or end-stroke alarms for the axes involved in working.

Features of the interface

The integrated CAM interface implements several functions. Some of the most important are:

  • management of machining with disc, diamonded wire, drill or water jet;
  • definition of the cutting technologies for all the working cycles through a common menu;
  • the intermediate working phases, such as the roughing, stripping, finishing, shoulder finishing, etc can be programmed according to the user needs;
  • management of the disk floating when the programmed pits are to small for it;
  • restart of the machining;
  • management of two simultaneous jobs on different tables;
  • rotation of profiling or shaping plane, in order to work with tilted disk on big solids that cannot be hosted beneath the machine;
  • machining of several solids on the same table; this allows to optimise the stripping, roughing and the finishing;
  • management of axis parking during load and unload process;
  • disk descent limit to save the table;
  • working with automatic control of the disk tangent on the profile; this consents to optimise the cutting speed and to simplify the working program.

Projects archive

The interface manages the projects’ archive; this can be organized freely or by jobs; the selection of the program is easy thanks to the file preview.
