The models of configurable central units are U, Q, M, H, K: they differ from each other for some connections, for the supported options and for the elaboration capacity (both for CNC and PAC functionality and for third-party software, for example CAD-CAM or SCADA)/

The central units differs also for the number of slots available for axes interfaces:

• up to 2 slots for the U and Q models;
• up to 3 slots for the M model;
• up to 6 slots for the H model;
• up to 10 slots for the K model.

For all configurable models, through specific options, it is possible to choose the elaboration power of the PC processor and the RAM dimension.
The storage mass is static (Flash or CompactFlash), except for some models with internal memory, and the operative system is Windows XP Embedded^®.

The power can be 22Vac or +24Vdc, depending of the model and of the option choosen.

The available communication standard interfaces (according to the model and options) are: 

• Serial: RS-232 (RS-485 and RS-422);
• Parallel: LPT;
• USB V1.1 and V2.0;
• PS/2 for mouse and keyboard;
• Video: Digital LVDS interface, analogical VGA interface. In case of fault, for example, this port allows to connect a standard office monitor during the replacement;
• LAN Ethernet 10-100Mb/sec;
• LAN Ethernet in 10-100Mb/sec in Real-Time (deterministic) to connect controllers, servodriversper and I/O through the EtherCAT protocol.
• CANopen port (excluded industrial PC)
• service port (0 - 5) Volt –500mA
• safety relè port output.

On the central units can be added several options that allow to implement other performances and functionalities.
